What is One Voice?
One Voice for Transformation is a free online tool available to ministries, churches and groups that want to build and manage their prayer campaigns with the help of online registration and tracking resources. It also provides an online social community for each participating group.
The mission is to encourage and mobilize more prayer initiatives nationwide by providing online tools and resources. The ultimate vision is to empower so many praying ministries and groups that every U.S. city is saturated by the Presence of God resulting in the transformation of every sphere of society.
What are the underlying values of One Voice?
One Voice is founded on several key values:
Oneness – We value the principles of John 17 where Jesus prayed that we be ONE as He and the Father are ONE. This means encouraging ONENESS in the spirit through the intentional, corporate pursuit of God in prayer and worship among all bible-believing individuals.
Kingdom Focus – We value the advancement of the Gospel of the Kingdom regardless of denomination or ministry.
Transformation – We value the transformation of individuals, businesses and entire communities based on Kingdom principles of healing, restoration, reconciliation and servant leadership.
What are the components of the One Voice vision?
The primary component is this website. We work with churches and ministries to help them build, launch and manage prayer campaigns through this online tool.
What is a Prayer Campaign?
A Prayer Campaign is a prayer initiative with a definitive start and stop date that typically extends 24 hour or more. It includes multiple groups (churches or prayer groups) that will participate in the prayer initiative by each hosting a Prayer Watch for the Prayer Campaign.
What is a Prayer Watch?
A Prayer Watch is a prayer initiative hosted by one group with a definitive start and stop date that typically extends 24 hours or more. It includes multiple pray-ers who promise to pray in 30 or 60 minute time slots. It is usually, but not always, part of a Prayer Campaign.
What is a Prayer Promise?
The purpose of One Voice is to connect and mobilize people of prayer. One way we mobilize people to pray is to encourage them to pray for their city, state and nation during one or more self-designated time periods each week. We call each of these designated time periods a Prayer Promise.
How long is a Prayer Promise?
A Prayer Promise is typically 30 or 60 minutes in length. However, when you SignUp for a Prayer Promise, you can choose one or more timeslots within the Prayer Watch. You also have the option to participate in more than one Prayer Watch.
What is a Transformation Indicator?
We believe that God will bring about societal transformation when we seek Him with all our hearts AS ONE in day and night prayer. One Voice Transformation Indicators provide a way to measure the impact of prayer and God’s answers to those prayers throughout Colorado or any state.
For Colorado, we partner with The 1Church Initiative to select and track important, measurable data points (demographic metrics) to be used as a starting point (benchmark) to see what impact prayer has on the economic, moral, and social climate of our state. Periodically, we will research and post updated Transformation Indicators so that you can see the impact of your prayers.
Why Do We Need 7x24 Prayer?
We help churches and ministries pursue non-stop, 7x24 prayer because the bible tells us to do so. In 1 Thessalonians 5:15, Paul urged people to “pray without ceasing”. In Acts 1:14, we see that the early church “joined together constantly in prayer”. And, Isaiah 62:6-7 tells us that “I have posted watchmen on your walls O Jerusalem, they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” These are all biblical models of non-stop prayer giving God no rest from hearing the cries of His people. In today’s world non-stop prayer can take place in churches, in dedicated houses of prayer, or through our “virtual prayer room” called One Voice.
