Five Ingredients: A House of Prayer Congregation

Notes for initiating a sustainable practical movement toward a unique creative culture of prayer. 'My house shall be called a house of prayer... "Isaiah 56:7

1. Every Leader - Every Believer a Person of Prayer: "Awakening Thirst for God".  "0 God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you, my soul thirsts for you" Psalm 63:1 N/V

     A. Living Life and Leading from the Secret Place (Psalm 91:1; Matthew 6:6)
     B. Prayer: The Joy of Being in the Presence of God (Psalm 16:11; Isaiah 56:7; Jeremiah 3:15)
     C. The Indispensable Influencers: The Role of Leadership (Jeremiah 3:15)
     D. A Transition: from Workers for God to Lovers of God

2. Worship-Based Prayer Gatherings: "A Longing to Be in God's Presence

    "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said... "Acts 13:2 N/V

     A. Corporate Prayer: A Celebration of the Nature of God (Psalm 99:5) "Worship-PrayerWatch"
     B. An Uncompromising Conviction: The Priority of Prayer (Acts 6:4; Acts 1:14; Acts 4:3 1; etc)     
     C. Wisdom, Creativity, Healing, Direction, etc. is released being in God's Presence
     D. Transition: from Request-Focus Prayer to Worship-Based Prayer

3.  24-7 Day and Night Prayer: A Global Movement

"And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?..." Luke 18:7 NIV

     A. The Moravians: Hernhutt, Germany (Leviticus 6:13 "Do not let the fire go out... "; Luke 18:7)
     B. The Kansas City 24-7 Prayer Room Story (Luke 10:42 "one thing is needed Psalm 2 7:4)
     C. An Emerging Global Prayer Culture (House of Prayer Movements, GDOP, Perpetual Adoration,etc)
     D. Transition: From Marginalized Prayer (silo) to Prayer as the Heart of Congregational Life

4. Prayer Saturated Missional Staff and Ministries

"I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself he can do only what he sees his Father doing" John 5:19

     A. Leading Staff and Teams from waiting in God's Presence (Psalm 16:11)
     B. Every Pastor and Church Department Saturated in Prayer (Romans 15:30)
     C. Transition: From Program Focused to Presence Focus

5. Connecting Intimacy with Intercession — Involvement with Christ's Mission

"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken: and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. "Acts 4:31 NKJV

     A. A deep sustained devotion to the prayer/mission culture of the book of Acts (Acts 1:14; 2:42)
     B. Loving our Communities to Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:8: "your faith toward God has gone out.. "NKJV)
     C. Transition: To a "Kingdom Mindset" - The Church Outside the Walls TOGETHER


Our Response - God's Prescription for Breakthrough:
